NC LITe at Duke University

I attended the NC Library Instructional Technology meeting at Duke University's The Edge on June 9. You can read more about the event on my blog.

NC-LITe meeting at UNCC Libraries notes

NC-LITe meets 2x a year usually May and December,  rotating host library. This May we went to UNCC for the first time, hosted by Mendy Ozan (former UNCG gal!) It was well organized, with a free lunch (thanks to their library director Stanley!), good break out sessions and lightening rounds, and with over 11 campuses represented we learned a lot from each other. NC-LITe (NC library instructional tech group) met on Jan 4 2012 at WFU with over 10 campuses represented, to give campus updates and share ideas on the theme: Teach Better Tomorrow: Sharing Quick Tips for Library Instruction & Instructional Technology.

I really enjoyed the presentation by Anne Burke and Adam Rogers of NCSU on this really cool, game based, mobile learning orientation they created! [view their presentation] And the team from WFU who discussed the various methods they have for embedding at wake.

We meet up twice a year and the next one will be in May (hopefully at App State library!)
